NAM CAN THO UNIVERSITY MEDICAL CENTER RECEIVES TRANSFER TECHNIQUES FOR INTERVENTIONAL CARDIOLOGY

On the morning of June 27, Nam Can Tho University Medical Center held a ceremony to receive transfer procedures for Interventional Cardiology from Cho Ray Hospital.

Accordingly, Cho Ray Hospital will support Nam Can Tho University Medical Center in implementing cardiac catheterization, coronary angioplasty, and coronary artery bypass grafting procedures.

At the same time, doctors from Cho Ray Hospital and Can Tho University Medical Center will coordinate cardiac interventions for the first 30 patients, in which customers will receive a 30-100% discount on procedure costs.

According to Dr. Dam Van Cuong, CMO of Nam Can Tho University Medical Center, putting the Cardiovascular Intervention Room into operation is an essential element for the overall development of the hospital. The room will help to diversify the care and maintenance services of the people by providing first aid for stroke patients in Mekong Delta provinces. This will reduce the time and cost of referring to other hospitals.

The Cardiovascular Intervention Room will be equipped with DSA-Digital Subtraction Angiography, which will allow for the implementation of techniques for the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the vascular system. The room will also be used to deploy and implement interventional treatment of cardiac and vascular arteries. This will allow the hospital to train, research, and organize scientific research in the field of cardiology.
