Mission, Vision and Stratergies

Vision

Nam Can Tho University is a Vietnamese university that establish itself as a university of quality in terms of education, research and technology transfer for the community. The University targets to be one of the leading higher education institutions, ranking in the top 15 universities in the Southern of Vietnam in 2030.

Mission

The mission of Nam Can Tho University is to provide access to higher education opportunities that enable students to develop knowledge and skills necessary to achieve their professional goals, improve the performance of their organizations, and provide leadership and service to their communities.

Strategies

Nam Can Tho University is committed to providing quality, accredited education and research. Our goal is to graduate students equipped to address the greatest challenges of our society and planet. The development of Nam Can Tho University will be facilitated through the implementation of the following strategies.

1. Training Strategy

Develop high quality training programs that achieve national and international standards and meet the increasingly diverse needs of the society, in order to gain advantage in having the proactivity and creativity in attracting prospective students.

Provide students an active, creative and competitive learning environment that improves their professional knowledge and skills as well as to develop their personality.

2. Research Strategy

Develop Nam Can Tho University to be a scientific research and technology transfer center of the Mekong Delta in the field of economics, pharmacology and engineering.

Establish a research and development group to implement projects and studies focusing on meeting the urgent needs of the society and the educational development needs of the University.

3. International Cooperation Strategy

Gradually implement the internationalization process: seeking the recognition of the international community, improving the internal capacity to achieve international standards, and developing regional and global cooperation in education and research.

4. Human Resources Strategy

Develop a diverse, qualified, efficient, and sustainable workforce to promote the teaching quality.

5. Infrastructure and Facilities Development Strategy

Establish well-equipped facilities and modernize teaching equipment to meet the training needs. Build facilities for recreation and other activities, and improve working conditions to creating excitement for students.
