On March 1, 2017, the education attaché of the Consulate General of Canada in Ho Chi Minh City, Ms. Nguyen Thi Cam Tu, visited and worked with the representatives of Nam Can Tho University including Prof. Vo Tong Xuan, Rector; Assoc. Pr. Phan Phuoc Hien, Director of the Center for International Cooperation & Research and representatives of Academic Affair Department.

At the meeting, Canadian consular attaché expressed her wish to find out information about Nam Can Tho University and consider the possibilities and opportunities for cooperation with Canadian universities, as well as to coordinate implementation of activities related to the field of scientific research and training of mutual interest between the Canadian Consulate General and Nam Can Tho University.
Representing the University, Prof. Vo Tong Xuan hopes Consulate General of Canada will work with Nam Can Tho University to organize a seminar to introduce the Canadian training program, to facilitate meetings and exchanges between the universities in Canada and universities in the Delta, and to seek opportunities for cooperation and joint training in the future.
At the end of the meeting, Ms. Nguyen Thi Cam Tu thanked the school leaders for taking the time to welcome and promised to invite some representatives from Canadian universities to explore opportunities for collaboration with Nam Can Tho University in particular and other universities in the Mekong Delta in the near future.
